What are the impedance characteristics of the preamp?

Could this be used as microphone preamp?

Hi Scott,

If you use the instrumentation amp in front (the standard configuration) the input impedance can be very high. It is 100K with the parts we will supply. But you can make it higher or lower if you choose.

The output impedance is that of the THS4131 itself which is very low around .33 ohm up through 500Khz.

I don't know any reason you could not use it as a balanced MIC pre. It should work fine.

Maybe I missed it but have you posted the schematic for this circuit. I read the twisted missive a while ago but I don't remember seeing the schematic there.

Well now that you mention it, I have two with R0 and two that do not have a space for R0. Looks like R0 COULD be replaced with a jumper. The boards without look to be older, ligter green, and not much labeling. The ones with are bright green and have the number 336073 on top, and E235512 on the bottom.
