Hello,

I am still trying to get a FifoPi board to work with BIII SE via I2S.

I have been posting here on this subject:

https://www.diyaudio.com...on-fight-jitter-578.html

Here is a summary of what I have discovered in connecting these two boards (so far, unsuccessfully). Given the dearth of simple instructions for connecting these boards I am in the process of creating some upon successful operation in both sync and async modes.

Here is what I have so far. If someone can verify these settings or correct them it would be of great help.

For sync mode:
remove VDD_XO and connect the clock MCLK to EXT_MCK
DCK to SCK
D1 to LR/DO
D2 to SD/D1

S1 on the FifoPi should both be ON
Sync mode for BIII DIP:
SW1 (X os off, 0 is on)
X000000X
SW2 (X os off, 0 is on)
X000X000

For async mode: (defualt)
DCK to SCK
D1 to LR/DO
D2 to SD/D1

S1 on the FifoPi should both be ON
Async mode for BIII DIP:

Asynch
SW1
0000X000 (X os off, 0 is on)
SW2
00000000 (X os off, 0 is on)

None of this works so far so take it with a grain of salt. However this is the best I have been able to come up with.

Any assistance appreciated.

Also, forgot to mention SW2 appears inverted from the picture Ian posted on this thread of his BIII. Can you guys comment on this and let me know if I need to invert the numbers of the switches etc...
