Dear Russ/Brian,
I am inputing 192/24 into your Toslink module, and Buff III it is reading it apparentrly without errors.

Is this possible because your Toslink module is guaranted at 96/24 but may also read with no assurance up to 192/24 or the Toslink module downrate the signal at 96/24 before outputing it as spdif?

Thank you,
Best regards,
Andrea

Your first guess is accurate.

The optical receiver is rated for 96kHz, but it seems to work at higher rates (for you). I don't have any 192kHz optical sources, so cannot test/verify.

We used to use the Toshiba TORX147, which was rated to 192kHz, but they stopped making them.

There is no down-sampling involved.
