Hello, I'm seriously interested in the TI ADC evaluation board PCM4222EVM:
http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau124/sbau124.pdf
Which has AES and S/PDIF outputs. This is a super high performance ADC board with built in AES XLR and S/PDIF coax connectors.

My problem is interfacing this board with my laptop computer which has firewire and USB 2.0/3.0 available. Can I use this USB receiver for that purpose? I see that your board has S/PDIF available but do not know if it can be used to send data from the evaluation board to my laptop via USB. Is this USB receiver a "two way" device? I don't know enough about digital audio to know. Would the USB receiver degrade the data signal by introducing noise? The PCM42222EVM is extremely low noise and I'd hate to mess that up. I'm intending to use this board for measurement purposes. Thanks.
