hello,

I am able to play music with my usb input, but now im trying to make the toslink module work.
mute doesnt light up, and my lock led is flickering a little bit when its on position 2,3,4 of the rotary switch (1 is for usb on the sidecar).

im using a dual mono setup with S/PDIF-4 and sidecar.

if you guys want more info let me know

The SPDIF4 module should have the TTL resistor set for Toslink (10k/0r). Also, make sure you don't have signal and ground reversed.

all check, out is on +, and gnd either on - or gnd doesnt work.

if you think the 4spdif board is the problem i could remove it and check solder joint, the light is flickering but not bright at all.

After playing around with my buffalo's i discovered that the toslink works only on one channel, it doesnt work properly in dual mono.

If i put the 2:4 switch to ON, its flickering, doesnt works, and if i remove the phasing of the dual mono the toslink works only on the left side channel (or right channel).

so any input would be great thanks!

The integration guide, page 33, shows DIP switch block SW2:3, as the switch for normal/dual mono, not SW2:4 as you mention above.
You may be turning off oversampling and reclocking by mistake.
