Hi guys,

Do you have any idea when the TOSLink modules will be back in stock?

I am trying to locate more TORX142 modules (25Mb up to 196kHz), which it appears no one has. I can get other modules, but they are only 15Mb, which means they are limited to 96kHz. That said, I think 99.9% of the gear out there outputting optical S/PDIF is probably using 15Mb TOSLINK connectors, so probably not a big deal.

Thoughts?

Nah, I want 196khz, keep looking :) I will be using higher sample rates, so I need it. Maybe make it an option for people who dont need higher than 96khz and need the receiver now. I'll prefer to wait.

Hi Brian,

Did you succeed in tracing the 192khz modules in the meantime?
I hope you can give me a hint.
Regards,
Ed

Also wondering if these modules are going to be available soon. Even if you could just provide a board, I can populate the rest.

I did find some 192kHz modules, but they have a completely different footprint, and no panel mounting. This would mean a) they do not fit our boards and b) there is no way to mount the module to the case, without adding other hardware.

We could create a new board to support these, but the priority is not high, as there are really very few (if any) products out there with 192kHz capable optical outputs (that I am aware of).
