Hi,
I have the Buffalo iiise 9038 pro powered with a Centaur and a 50 VA transformer together with a Mecury IV stage. When I connect SPDIF directly to the SPDIF input on the dac board I get no signal and no lock light. I have measured the output voltage on the Centaur and it is 5.2 V. I have measured the tridents, they are all spot on. The Mercury works as well, I connected an analogue signal and I got sound.

I have checked all connetions. The SPDIF source is reliable and works, The volume is jumpered.

Before I jump to the conclusion that the dac doesn´t work I would appreciate very much if someone could point out if I have missed something or if there is something else in the troubleshooting I can do. I may have missed something regarding the firmware settings.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi

Is switch 1 position 1 set to on? This selects the S/PDIF input rather than the serial (PCM/DSD) input.
