In my haste to solder everything I mounted the resistor flush with one of the tridents only to realize the two side tridents don't have the same clearance.

My question is does it matter if I mount the tridents on the bottom of the Buffalo and part of the trident touches the metal part of the output stage cap below it is that okay? Specifically I'm talking about the VDD trident.

In the picture below C3 of the VDD trident is touching the top of of the cap on the legato near R30 and R29. I'm trying to figure out if I should figure out another way to mount it, if it's safe to solder it the way it appears below or if I can put some sort of isolating material in between the two. Thanks.

I believe to be on the safe side that no components touching each others unless it needs to! I mounted my Trident right side up flat and I used 22g solid core wire which could hold the whole Trident up with no problems!

Hope this helps,
Milton

Thanks, better safe than sorry. I bent some of the header pins. The tridents sound absolutely great.

Just add some pieces of electric tape on top of the caps just to make sure there is no contacts.
