Thanks: 1 times
All the modules offered here are awesome (IMHO) and my hats off to the folks at "The Pear". :-)

One item that has been a stumbling block for me, involved the selection of a proper case for my project. Since my system consists of vintage Kenwood Basic series components, I finally opted for buying an old "junk for parts" Basic C2 preamp off of ebay. Pulling off the front panel and substituting my own custom manufactured DAC front panel. Doing my best to match the anodize color and the silk screen font style etc. (I plan to reuse knobs off of the defunct preamp as needed for best match there). Hopefully the end product will be a Sigwood Basic D2 DAC. ;-)

I have a table top CNC mill and have been considering fabricating a "general purpose" front panel for general consumption.

But if I were to do so, what features would need to be included? Size, openings, controls, panel color, lettering, etc would need to be determined. If something like this were offered, would there be sufficient interest for the trouble? What price point might be considered "reasonable"?

So many questions, so few answers...

cheers!
