hi forum

I want to connect the IVY III to the es9018k2m

Is this possible?
if so what resistors do I need on R1-4, R13-16 r32-r35

That is impossible to tell with this information. One would need to research the differences between the 9018 and 9018k2ms, esp. the outputs and their requirements. Perhaps the easiest way would be to simply connect the two and see what result you get.

Regarding your other questions: Brian and Russ are difficult to mail. The spam filters on their e-mail bins are set very strict, and they're quite busy. Unfortunately, I'm also very busy atm (and have been for the past few years) so I'm not able to do the research for you.

The es9018k2m looks like it has an opamp between the DAC and its analog out. If you remove it and bridge the appropriate connections then the output would be direct from the DAC - and therefore should be at the same level as a BIIISE - otherwise I am guessing that the default output will be way more than the IVY is designed for.

Personally I prefer the Legato over the IVY...
