Can the Placid power supply for the Buffalo 3 also supply a Mini Sharc and a Raspberry Pi in the same chassis, or should I get a LCDPS? And if the LCPDS, can it power both of them, and does it need a transformer?

Overall setup will be Pi -> MiniSharc -> Buffalo 3 -> 2 Legatos -> Balanced out. For a total of 4 channels.

MiniSharc is 5v at max of 5W and the Pi is max of 4W – so 9W total or about 2 amps

Sorry, I didn’t see a spec on the LCDPS.

Thanks, John

That is really more current than it is designed to handle. You should power the Pi and the Minisharc seperately.
