I want to start programming the b3.

Is it possible to measure the change in volume directly on the b3 board?

I would like to avoid putting the whole system together just to be able to hear volume change on my speakers.

Your best bet when controlling the DAC with the I2C bus is to write a register, then read the register value back to verify its value. This is good practice with all registers, not just volume.

Thank you. I will of course do that.

But I was thinking more of a measurable way of confirming that the registry settings have the desired effect.
Or do i have to hook up the system and speakers?
