Hi!
I recently bought a joshua tree kit for a monitor controller project and am planning on setting it up with a wired remote so that I can adjust the volume from my listening position while having my cable distances as short as possible. Would there be any negative effect to running the power+data cable from the volumite to the controller 25+ft?

It would add a lot of capacitance that the I2C would have to run over - but it actually may work ok. Would not hurt to try.
