can a pair to the standard Ventus be used instead of Lagato or IVY?
Is there any advantage over the Lagato with set up for SE

You could do it if you want. You would set up each as an inverting amplifier with the non-inverting inputs to GND.

You will likely get a bit more offset than you would with the legato.

I would suggest the Legato or IVY-III as they are designed specifically for the application.

No Worries. :) I bet it would sound great, I just have never tried it personally.

I can confirm that Ventus works superb as I/V. Using the COD DAC, I find that the more I decrease the resistors at the DAC output, the better the sound. I am using 10 ohm resistors now, and needed to increase the gain on the Ventus to get the 2V output level.
