Hi,

I have the latest version of the Legato kit and also the Opus Dac with the WM8741 chip. I have mounted everything and get sound from it but there is little bass, the sound is very thin. I tested the Legato with the COD Dac and everything was correct.

Can somebody give me a clue about what is happening? I have a doubt, the OPUS DAC is V-out, and the COD DAC is I-out, should I change something in the legato or should I connect the DAC to the Legato in a different manner to avoid any I/V conversion?

Kindest Regards,

Jorge

Legato is an I/V (current to voltage) stage. Opus is a voltage output DAC. Legato is not an appropriate output stage for the Opus. You really should be using the IVVY-III in voltage input mode for the Opus.

The Legato works very well for the COD.

Hi Russ,

I will try the Ivy then. Sorry for the confusion, I thought that the Legato could be converted to V-out dacs.

Best Regards,

Jorge
