I increased the current in my B3 DVCC Trident v1.1 by paralleling a 47 ohm
with the existing 20 ohm R4 (approx. 14 ohms) for a calculated 85mA total.
This allowed an external USB device to be powered from the DVCC. I also
run 352.8k input files, but don't know the extra load this presents to the DAC.

I measure 1.15V across R1, does this imply the shunt current is 1.15mA ?
And if this is true, does the shunt current need to be increased?

No - R7 will tell you the shunt current.
