Hi Brian & Russ
My new BIII has strange behavior as sometimes work well;sometimes LED all on;sometimes all off.
I measure VDD/DVCC/VDD-XO one by oneself all correct are 1.18V/3.2V/3.2V,but sometime when add to
BIII VDO down to 0.7V.
How to fix it? Change resistor value or replace by new V.3 Trident?? Thanks.

Did you check other obvious problems mentioned in other similar threads, such as...

1) check all solder joints
2) check voltage between GND and VD when the leds are off
3) post photo of your setup...

Can't tell why, but I for one don't understand your initial question. Also, your description is far from complete.

That last question is easier: V1 and V3 are is essentially the same, but V3 is (of course) improved.
