Hallo,

i would like to build the legato in a "dual mono way", so to connect a power supply for the left and right channel. If this is possible, which jumpers do I have to solder in? And it is possible to feed the single ended part from one or both of the supplies?

And a questions beside these:
Can I expect something to be better or is it just more weight?

Thank you!
Matthias

Are you planning on using balanced output only or both balanced and SE output?

Hi Russ!
I'm planning to use balanced, but as i have also the single ended parts, i would like to make it useable for SE output also.

Well for Balanced it would be pretty simple. Just omit the jumpers that tie the supplies together and the BAL/SE parts.

For SE output you would need 3 supplies.

My feeling is this. The Legato presents a near ideal load. A near constant current regardless of program. Separate supplies are not likely to yield appreciable results.

Thank you! I think I'll use 1 supply, complete the Buffalo, enjoy, and if the feeling for something new challenges me, I'll try three power supplies.
