I'm in the process of fumbling my way from a single Buffalo to a dual-mono setup and have ordered more 9V & 15V transformers. What with the other items, I'm going to struggle a bit getting everything neatly into the enclosure so I was wondering if it's OK to stack one on top of the other please?

I don't think it is a good idea...

Some of the magnetic field will run onto the bolt in the middle and transfer to the other transfo... I cannot predict if this will have any impact but I quite remember someone who knew toroids alot told me to never do this...

Anyways... You can check this post

I use two 1000VA toroids stacked in my dual mono poweramp - this works fine and have done so for the last 15 years.

Yes, I have an Aragon 8008bb amplifier and it has 2 toroids stacked on each other. No issues I can hear.

They might be using a non magnetic shaft or bolt in the middle (like aluminum, stainless steel, copper, etc...).

It can work for sure but is not best practice.

I guess you can have fun trying it and see if it works well for your application.
