Half way between Ventus and Ballsie, the Ventus EZ.

- The same high-current output section as the Ventus
- The same opamp-based balanced-to-single-ended converter as the Ballsie
- Adjustable gain and configurable compensation
- Happy with capacitive loads
- Coming soon (very soon)

Same footprint as Ventus or Ballsie? Will it stack under a IVY/Legato?
Cheers,
Nic

Brian, it's the same output stage as the Legato 3.x SE output, right ?

(brilliant shooting - nice DOF)

Is this available now? Was considering the Ventus, but noticed that is now out of stock. Perhaps the Ventus EZ is better for me needs. Any problem with a 600 ohm pair of cans?

Thanks.

Hmm.... very good questionThink
Something with trident v-regs mounted and not a Buffalo II.....
8-channel Buffalo?
I see a buffalo symbol, 2 tridents, XO, extended board length in one end with a multipole board-to-wire connector?

Yay NicMac gets the prize!!! The prize is not much, only bragging rights for being the first (beside chucky and glt who is a confidante) to spot it in the picture!!! Glt gets props for being true to his word and not leaking the news. I remember stuff like that. :)

It is indeed Buffalo III. Which is fully configurable with 8 channels in and 8 channels out and 16 switches/inputs/outputs and port expander for applications development. It is the single most exciting thing I have worked on all year. :)

Wow, thanks!.

I can disclose that it will be released at the same time as Trident-II, AC-III and Legato-IV :-)

Hi Russ:

Just offtopic but related to your picture, Ext I/O seems for display unit? Will existing Buffalo 2 user still can enjoy new AC1 and USB interface without upgrade to Buffalo III?

As I'm using BII/Legato2 with Trident already, seems no point to get BIII if 8 channels not required.

No that is the external I/O connector. Used for changing settings like the selected digital input.
I think there never will be an AC1. There might be an AC2, however not much is known about it. Since Russ stated the new USB receiver would output I2S, I think it's safe to say BII will not be obsolete for quite some time.

Hey Guys,

I'm new to TPA here. I have been checking out the Ventus EZ for a while but couldn't settle on a few details. Can anyone elucidate me ?

1) Can Ventus EZ accept single ended inputs ?

2) The fully built modules comes as singles or pairs for 70 dollars ?

3) Any tangible gains with the Placid vs. the LCBPS since the voltage gain stage is op-amp based (fairly high rejection ratios) ?

Thank you all!
