First of all Merry Christmas to all!.

Just for fun, lets share our wishes for TPA kits.

My two TPA wishes for 2011:

1- I want a "high power" Legato to directly drive full range drivers.
2- I know Russ is not a tube kind of guy, but I do wish for a tube I/V for Buffalo

Lower power and lower gain Sympatico. Sympatico sounds great but it gets too hot and too loud for a tiny apartment I live in.

Thanks and Merry Xmas to all!

My wishlist:
1. USB receiver module or LAN streaming module, 24/192 to 32/384
2. I2S switch to switch between USB input and current mux module
3. AC1/Femto with display/IR kit with capability to control this all

Merry Christmas to all,

I need an ADC-usb to start archiving my vinyl collection. If that's not possible, then a two way interface for spdif-usb and vice-versa, and I'll build my own adc.

Cheers, Crazy Bill
GLT,
I am a tube guy and know very little about what you guys play with, but a little quick math shows the Ventus capable of 500mw into an 8 ohm load. I played around with a direct coupled EF86(triode strapped ) driving a 12B4A which throws a whopping 800mw. Believe me it was plenty loud driving my Fostex FE206E based loudspeakers. That said, however, before I go trying it I would check w/ Russ, as I haven't a clue as to whether it would simply clip or blow up were you to overdrive it.

Russ, Brian and glt,
Complete Arduino code for controlling all TPA products (Buf II, mux etc.) so you won't have to worry about AC1/2 development anymore.......
Cheers,
Nic

Could a (high power) Legato make a difference when directly driving full range drivers ?

is so .... in which manner ....more current driven than voltage driven ....?

Tks for feedback

another wish for a tube I/V for the Buff II.

I'm a S.E.T guy with Western Electric 300B amps, and a low Mu Western Electric 421a based preamp / source selector. My phono stage is also pure tube.

Tho they don't "measure on the scope" as well as the SS sandy bits, they are ever so aurally satisfying on open baffle high effeciency speakers.

Dear Santa(s)

All I really want is the arrival of the asynchronous USB to I2S interface / mux supporting 32 bit data transfer with display driver, computer software interface, and remote control with 2 way visual feedback (iTouch app ?)

The eight channel version of the same.

A special pre-order-able teflon board ultimate parts version of the Buffalo 3.

Add pads for two 49600s in the feedback loops of the built in Ballsie on the IVY 4 and Legato 3 so dual mono builders can have an upgraded balanced output, or single ended users can drive headphones etc.

A single channel op amp based Ventus 3 so that those going dual mono and single ended can have an upgraded output with the best measurable performance to compare to the discrete input of the Ventus.

A stereo ADC.

A balanced line receiver based on the THAT ingenious input, or something better.

A mic preamp.

A high Z instrument preamp.

More than 2 addresses for multiple outputs from multiple dacs.

A mixer module.

A much better linear low drop out series super regulator.
