Hi all! First off, I am a winemaker and not a savvy dac designer. I know how to solder, where to buy a chassis, caps, etc, and love hifi and tubes! Trying to save a few bucks and build a good dac with a lampizator tube buffer, but have no idea what solders to where. I would also like to know which of the TP audio dac will go with a tube buffer. I read the buffalo 2 will not accept it, I have no Idea why, but anyways. I am willing to trade wine for help! A list of products I will need, any similar build pics with instructions is greatly appreciated!

If you want to use a tube stage, I would avoid the Lampizator stuff.

The Broskie Unbalancer is a much better way to go:

You want to use a stage with true differential balanced inputs. Broskie's engineering is very good.

All of our DACs have balanced outputs, and will all work well with the Unbalancer. There are threads on DIYAudio about integrating it, and a comprehensive user guide for it.

The Buffalo-II can use a tube stage as well, but that is not very relevant since we no longer sell the II. There is a lot of misinformation on the Lapizator site, so, read with caution.

That stuff looks great! Thank you for the reply, I really do appreciate it! I will contact Broksie and see what he recommends, Maybe the opus with wolfson and the unbalancer? Need to find someone to put it together, and pay em! (hopefully in wine)!
