Please help - Do you know why there are 2 sets of RP and RS resistors for the TOSLINK module I just received. One set is 0 ohms and 0 ohms, the other set is 75 ohms and 270 ohms. Which pair should I use? There are no docs for this. Thank you!

We added two resistor positions to the board which act as a simple voltage divider. They allow you to select the S/PDIF output voltage you want to use: 3.3V TTL-level or Consumer-level.

For 3.3V TTL output, use only the 0-ohm Rs (no Rp used).

For Consumer-level output, use 75-ohm Rs and 270-ohm Rp.

I will try to get the manual updated.

Brian,

Are you sure? The Rs and Rp values seem to be swapped. Either in your text, or in mine. The toslink module is described on page 69 of the guide.

A short follow-up question about the output-configuration of the TOSlink module:

Apparently I have one of the old TOSlink modules, because I don´t have any additional resistor positions for Rp and Rs.
Is that true?

If so, I assume it is set to TTL output by default?
This means I can use it directly into the sidecar, without the 4-SPDIF input board. Right?

Sorry if I ask simple questions, but the documentation on this is not as clear as I would like it...

Thanks,
Florian

Ok, I re-read the Leons manual and it is clear now :-)

Of course it will output TTL level by default..

Sorry
