Just wanted to share finished project.

Buffalo IIISE with IVY I/V
Placid HD (1.0) & Placid HD BP (2.1)
I2SoverUSB from JLSounds including separate power supplies for USB & isolated sections
Remote volume control from Bent Audio
2U Slimline Case from Modushop with machining from Front Panel Express

Mike Galusha did the actual build for me so all credit on build quality goes to him. I just did the research & sourcing of parts.
