Hi all,

Yesterday I worked on my frontpanel. This is an impression.
I'm still waiting for the aluminium source and volume knobs but that won't take too long now Angel

There under is my Hypex NCore 400 amplifier in case you wondering. That one is already completed except for the markings.
If you want to see more from the inside:

Jordo,

I'd like to put acrylic backing behind my large knobs and illuminate them, exactly like you're showing on your amp case. How did you do it? Is there a post somewhere on the method?

Thanks!

Edit: Or am I mistaken... is that just aluminum I'm seeing?

Hi Takaji,

You mean like this one?

I just want to sink the volume and source knobs a little but I will not build in an illuminated ring.
I think you can buy these at digikey or something like that Angel

Yes, exactly like that one! That's the one I got the inspiration from.

I will look into Digikey stocking something like this... I had no idea! I thought I would have to make one on my own.

If you have any more info, please share :D thanks!

I am concerned about your multiple chassis ground connections. In particular, the black lines along the rear of the chassis... what are they connected to?

The housing of the XLR Connectors are grounded to the chassis anyway.
There is a Lug on the Connector helping the grounding... That's all.
And to make it complete I connected these points to the Main star...
Pin 1 is decoupled from the chassis gnd. so it's actually only shielding.

Still not convinced? More people arn't. If you don't I'll remove it :)

Here is a picture of the Frontpanels ready to install.

Well I trie later... Doesn't work.

Finito :) (almost completely)

I have isolated the fwd star point screw fron the chassis and removed the starpoints from the XLR's.

We'll that problem is also solved. I had some troubles with the relais to switch on the power transformers.
We just cutted out some resistors and now it works :)

Very, very nice job Jordo.
Tell us please how they sound in combination with the hypex amps. I think I know the answer because I myself use 4 Hypex 180 in my active horn setup.
