Is the counterpoint going to be the new, discrete line stage?

I hope to win the "lotto", and get a buffalo when they go on sale again.

If there is a discrete line stage coming out soon, that will work well with the buffalo, then I will just order the buffalo right now, and wait for the line stage.

Thanks
Randy

Will the Counterpoint line stage also require the bipolar power supply like the IVY?

Any estimate about when this will roll out?

Hi Brian,

Will the Counterpoint be useable as a balanced in / balanced out linestage i.e. as a replacement for TxD ?

Is there a thread on DIY audio (or anywhere else)describing Counterpoint ?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hello Dave,

I am thinking it would be possible, and as I lay it out I will try to provide for that option. The one thing missing will be the instrumentation amp front end. So the input impedance will be rather low.

There is a thread on the Haiku on diyaudio which evolved into the counterpoint. I have since found what I think is an even better approach for counterpoint which I have not shared yet.

Cheers!
Russ

Russ,
Thanks so much for such interesting designs. Will there be any counterpoint boards available soon? I would like to pair one of these with an AD1852 based DAC. Would this be suitable?
