Hi,

I have a volumite plugged on an opus dac.
I put PB3 and PB1 to GND in order to be able to play 192k material.
The selected digital filter thus is the response 1 : "linear phase soft-knee filter".

A) How can I try the other responses ? More specificaly, I am interested in trying the response 2 and response 4.

B) Is it possible to play with the resistors and PB3 PB1 or do i need another firmware ?

C) is the anti-clipping mode selected ?

D) Infinite Zero Detect : IZD 0 or 1 ?

Thanks for your attention.

Lwi

You will need a different controller and different firmware

Ouch, not what I was hoping.
Ok if I want to modify the firmware to try another filter how can I do that ?

You can take a look here: hifiduino.blogspot.com
I built a controller for the OPUS and then for the Buffalo. The code for the controller for Buffalo is more "refined" just because I learned more things. The Buffalo controller uses a "regular" parallel LCD, the code for the OPUS uses a serial LCD.

Or you could wait for the controller that TPA is building (but I don't know when it will be released)

I already found your site and took a look at the very interesting information you have.
But before going the arduino track, I am hoping to be able to modify the firmware of the volumite in order to select the filter.
The microcontroller is a Atmel ATtiny25.
Or is there a solution from Brian or Russ ? Can you send me a new custom firmware ?

I am still very interested in the source code of the volumite for WM8741 :)
If you have the AVR studio project I will be very happy.
Thanks for your help and support.

Hi,

I am still interested by the code, can I have the source code please ?
After listening so far, I like a lot the clarity of the opus dac :)
Thanks.
