Hello,

I have a order for your 32s dac and I am thinking of having a solid state output and a tube stage output. with the tube stage would I need a gain stage or a buffer stage type.

thanks,
Roger

That depends on what you are driving, but probably just a buffer stage. The output gain of the DAC is easily adjustable be adding optional resistors.

Hello Brian,
I am looking at the Aikido all in one tube line stage seen here in the link

Aikido line stage

If I use the otto can I switch betwwen the IVY and this?
What would be the best way to have a SS and Tube DAC .I have seen MFG'S have it done.

Thanks

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were trying to do. There is no easy (or recommended) way to bypass the output stage of the Buffalo32S, as it is tightly integrated with the analog supply of the DAC. I thought you were looking for a tube stage following the existing output stage.

Brian ,
I found a product called the DTO which is a I/V tube output stage which might work. Can you give it a look and let me know.

Digital tube output
