I have a dual/mono setup and connect the headphones to half the balanced out - SE. The Sennheiser is 300 ohms. I drive it about 3/4 volume for listening. <br /><br />Is there any advantage of adding a headphone amp? I did find that when I connect a CAT preamp, SE, and dive the headphones from its output, I lose some clarity, but can go louder and get a fuller sound - perhaps it tones down the highs and I increase the volume to compensate and perceive that as "better."<br /><br />Thanks, John</td></tr></table>2017-02-24T08:02:32-07:002017-02-24T08:02:32-07:00JohnG<table class="content postContainer" width="100%"><tr><td>Hi - I've been running my Sennheiser 600 headphones from the Legato out.
